We sometime allow other people to determine our worth. People may sometime say awful things about you, saying things like you are not good enough, you do not have what it takes to make it, you are not good looking, you don’t fit to be here etc. All this sayings to you, may hurt your self esteem and confidence about yourself. You may look down at yourself because of other’s remarks about you. We have allow others succeeded in devaluing our worth.

Once you know your worth, you never settle for less than what you deserve.

Know this, never allow others to determine your worth for you are worth more than you can ever imagine. We are all special and unique in every single way. There is no one else like you except you. Hence, never let someone else opinion on you changes the way you see yourself. See and speak highly about yourself. Be confident about yourself for you are the only you in this world. Know that you are worth it.

I saw a video about a lecturer teaching his students about their worth. It was a simple illustration but very meaningful. He took out a 20 dollar bill and ask the class, ‘How many of you want this 20 dollar?’, everyone in the class raise up their hands. Later on, he begin to crumple the 20 dollar and step on it making it look dirty. He then ask the same question to the class again. Each time no matter what he did to that 20 dollar bill, the whole class still lift up their hands. Here came the realization that no matter what he did to that dollar bill, the 20 dollar never lost its worth, it never suddenly downgrade to 10 dollar or 5 dollar, it still remain as 20 dollars, therefore, in our life, when people tries to crumple you with words or step on you with their action, know this, you are still you, you did not lose your worth. You are still worth more that you know.
