How many of us have look back in our life and sometimes feel we could have done more? I know for a certain of you would. Most of us when we revisit back the old memories, we will often look back at past defeats and failures. We often wish we could have and should have done better in the past such as I should have make more calls, I should have taken the opportunity given to me, I could have apply for better job and etc… All these past regrets will not get us anywhere as we cannot turn back time. Sometime looking back will hinder us from seeing a brighter future ahead of us. We can’t change our past but we can change is our future.
It is not possible to go forward while looking back.Lugwig Mies Van Der rohe
In this manner, we should look forward with hope and expectation that things will begin to take place in our life, new and better opportunities coming in and great experiences will be heading your way. We should not look back often with regrets but to learn from that experience and change our approach heading the future. All your ‘could have’ and ‘should have’ in the past, you can do it right now and change your future. Therefore, look forward with confidence and things will start turning in your favour.
There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.C.S Lewis
As I look back in my life, I am just a regular person, I have make tons of mistakes. One of it was when I was majoring music back in college. After a year plus or so, I just thought music was not for me and decided to change my major. And so I did, but it was nearing the completion of the program, I thought to myself, ‘I should have started this major earlier so I can start working sooner, and now I am late coming into the market’. I was thinking I learned music for nothing and wasted 1 year of my life. However, I decided not to look back and start looking forward. I start to think the things I can make a difference. Now, each time when I am speaking or training, I will sometime incorporate music into my sharing. You see, those past failures or defeats are not wasted experience, we can use it to learn and look forward with hope that things will get better.
