How many of us plan to start something but eventually never happen? How many of us wish someday that we will start going to the gym, to a seminar, to find our dream job or to reach a certain goal? However, the things we planned somehow never got started.

A few reasons is because we always think that time is on our side and then suddenly a few years pass by, and nothing started and we thought to ourselves, ‘Why didn’t we started earlier?’. Another reason is because we simply think that we are not ready, so we wait for that perfect moment or wait till we got smarter, better looking or got a certain qualification. However, in the end many failed to hit their goal, just because they didn’t get started and waited too long for the perfect moment that never arrived.

Start where you are, Use what you have, Do what you can

Arthur Ashe

The key here is that no matter how big your dreams or goals are, we can always start now. To start with what you have and build it from there. There is a Chinese proverbs that goes like this, ‘A journey of a thousand miles start with a single step’. Therefore, if you dream of becoming a hair stylist, start developing the skills necessary, if you dream of becoming a writer, start writing blogs to begin with, if you dream of becoming a speaker, start developing your skills by speaking in front of the mirror and record yourself, well, that was how I got started.

You don’t have to be GREAT to START but you have to START to be GREAT

ZIg Ziglar

There no better time to start doing in reaching your dream than now. Whitney A. Young said, ‘It is better to be prepared for an opportunity and not have one than to have an opportunity and not be prepared.’ Hence, start gearing up yourself, improve yourself daily and develop whatever skills necessary for you to hit your target. For when opportunities starts flowing, we will be ready for it. In closing, just remember whoever you choose to become and whatever you choose to do, Start now and hit your MARK!!!
