Sometimes REJECTION in life is really REDIRECTION

Tavis Smiley

How many of you face rejection before?

I know for the fact that everyone of us have experienced rejection many times before in our life, for instances, we got rejected from every colleges, rejected from all jobs, rejected for our ideas in the office, rejected from our clients and customers when we are selling them our services and products. Therefore, in any stages of our life, we all have experienced rejection before.

Many times, while we are working towards our goals in life, rejection comes along the way, not once, not twice but many times in different ways, we begin to form a picture in our mind whether or not the path we are on is right. We start to question our ability, skills and talents each time we face a tough ‘NO’. When there is plenty rejection surrounding our journey, we begin to feel dejected and lost of hope in our dreams.

Back when I was doing sales for a bank, I’ve experienced many rejection as well. There were always more rejection than approval during my time in sales. However, here’s the thing I’ve learned, instead of seeing it rejection, see it as a redirection to something better. When one door closes, many other doors will be open. However, most of the time, we keep looking at the closed door far too long that we have missed the open doors in our life. We sometimes keep looking back at our past, our old ideas, our old clients and customers without knowing that there are brighter future ahead of us, better ideas before us and many more new clients coming towards us.

Rejection is merely a Redirection; a course correction to your destiny

Bryant McGill

I have also heard that each time when we receive a ‘NO’, don’t just see it as a ‘NO’ but rather see it as N.O which is an acronym for ‘Next Opportunity’. Hence, when we are proposing something to our boss or when we are selling a product to a customer and all we got is a ‘NO’ from them, straightaway move on to the next opportunity, next customer, next clients, next school and colleges, next job opening, and many more…

For there will come a day when we are able to close a large deal with our clients, enter into our dream job, and lastly to be able to reach our goals in our life. Therefore, start today to see REJECTION as a REDIRECTION to something much more better in our life and we will begin to experience new opportunity in our journey of life.
