It’s not about how much we lost, it’s about how much we have left

Captain America

SPOILERS

How many of you have watched Avengers: Endgame? I have and I’m sure many of you do too… But to those who haven’t watch it, go watch it before reading the content below as it may contains some spoilers…

First of all, this is not a review about the movie but mainly about what I’ve learned. At the start, we all know what happen after Thanos snapped his fingers, 50% of the population in the universe disappeared and never to be found.

In the movie, Captain America said something very inspiring, a concept based off the half full or half empty cup. Before the Avengers start to find Thanos again, the avengers team weren’t so sure whether they’ll win because the team is half empty, they will be going with less support and is on a disadvantage. But Captain America said ‘It’s not about how much we lost, it’s about how much we have left.’

The reason why I love Captain America here is because he don’t see what his team lack but he see what’s left.

In our life as well, always see what you have and not what you lack. Look, you may not be the riches man or woman in the world but you still have a roof over your head, have a lovely family with great children. Be thankful for it! Or you may not be the smartest man or woman in the world but you still manage to get your degree and got a decent job. Be grateful for it!

It’s all the matter of perspective, how you see depends on what you focus. Therefore, focus on the half full and not the half empty. Focus on your abundance over your lack and you will begin to see your life in a whole different manner, you will learn how to be grateful over the little things that you have and not the many things that you lack. So today, let’s start to focus on what’s left and not what’s lost.
