It is better to prepare and prevent than to repair and repent

Ezra Taft Benson

Are you PREPARED once the OPPORTUNITY arrived?

Today, many people want to experience new opportunity to come their way quickly, there is nothing wrong with that, but the thing is, not many are willing prepare themselves when the opportunity arrives. There is a quote by Whitney M. Young, he said, “It is better to be prepared for an opportunity and not have one than to have an opportunity and not be prepared.”

Therefore, if you are not getting any good breaks at the moment or opportunities are not coming in your way, don’t be discourage or dishearten. Instead, use this time to prepare and equip yourself the best you possibly can. There is no better time than right now to expand your mind and enhance your skills set.

If you want to be a chef, keep on practicing your cooking skills, if you want to be a speaker, keep working on your presentation and speaking skills or if you want to become the next manager of your department, equip yourself with the necessary knowledge and skills to become a manager. For when opportunities do arrived, you got what it takes to handle it.

However, let’s say when the opportunity arrives and we are not ready. If our dream job call us in and somehow or rather we under performed. The result will be catastrophic, our reputation will crumble down and eventually we got to repair our image back and wait again for the next opportunity.

As we can see, it’s always better to be prepared rather than to be repaired. Today, if you are still waiting for that one good break or one big opportunity to come your way, use this time to prepare yourself, to invest in self-education, to improve yourself in every single way, to become the best version you can be, for once when the opportunity come, you know you are READY for it!!!
