Sometimes you have to take the leap and build your wings on the way downKobi Yamada
There was an experiment done by a scientist where the scientist placed the fleas in a glass jar. The fleas would then quickly jumped out of the jar but the scientist put them back in and closed the jar with a lid. The fleas continued to jump but each time it does, it will hit the lid.
After some time, the fleas began to conditioned themselves to jump ever so slightly below the lid so it will not hit the lid. The scientist then later removed the lid as it was no longer to hold the fleas. However, the fleas didn’t jumped out of the jar because it has learned and conditioned themselves to only jumped at a certain height and not jumped over the lid.
How many of us are like the fleas in a jar?
The thing is many of us have the potential to do more, to see more, to know more and to become so much more. However, yet we have conditioned ourselves that we are not good enough, not smart enough and not talented enough. We have place a self-limiting belief and self- doubt in our mind to convince ourselves that we couldn’t do it.
Sometimes in life, it is not the physical lid that is hindering us from taking the leap, for instances, the physical lid could be your parents stopping you, your friends mocking you and bosses talking out of your dreams.
However, many times it is the invisible lid that we have placed in our mind that is stopping us from taking the leap just like the fleas, though the lid has been removed, the fleas have conditioned their mind not to jump any higher than the lid.
Today, we might have try to jumped out of a jar, to jump to open a business, to jump to a better job, to jump into becoming yourself but we fail to do so because of the invisible lid we imagined on ourselves. Right now, it is the time to remove that invisible lid and to retake the leap.
Once we have remove the lid of self-limiting belief and self-doubt, there is no dreams too great, no goals too big and no vision too huge that we can accomplish. We got to regain back the courage and hunger that we once have in reaching our goal and the first step we got to take is to remove the lid and to retake the leap so that we can land into our divine destiny.
