There is a difference between giving up, and knowing when you’ve had enoughAnonymous
When was your ‘I’ve Had Enough’?
Have you ever asked yourself that question? You see, there is a difference between giving up and had enough. These are my personal take on it:-
- No longer have any desire and drive to live
- Don’t care about everything in life has to offer
- Just keep on existing
- Lost all hope to go on
As we can see, giving up is more than just giving up on jobs, on colleges, on relationship and so on. But rather, giving up on life. We live in a world where most people when they are going through obstacles and circumstances, they tend to give up, give up their dreams, give up on living the life they wanted to live.
Here’s the thing, giving up is not when an employee quit from a job they hate but rather staying in the job they hate. Why it is so? Because the person has gave up living for his dreams, gave up believing in his ability, gave up on his goal.
I’ve Had Enough:
- Strong desire and drive to live
- Care to explore what has life got to offer
- Wanting to Live
- Gain new hope to go on
Now, here are the differences. ‘I’ve had enough’ is having the sense of wanting to change. The feeling of hunger to live and that you have had enough living in misery. Where as for ‘Giving Up’ is you have given up in life and just remain in misery. For example again, an employee have had enough in staying in a job he hates and wanted change in his life. He is willing to explore everything that he possibly can to get into the career of his dreams.
When I was given a job as a corporate trainer for a company, I was excited and trilled till later on just to discover that there were so few opportunity to train. Therefore, they placed me in a small, quiet retail store down town for many, many months. I was depressed, felt like giving up but one day, something in me woke up, something in me said ‘I’ve had enough’, I’ve had enough living this way, in this condition and situation,
I begin to read books, hear podcasts, watching motivational contents, attend seminars, etc…. I was so hungry to change and because of that day, this website was given birth, my speaking career is starting to take place. I know it’s still a long journey but I know anything is possible when you believe.
In conclusion, one question, are you satisfied with the life you have? do you feel like you had giving up all hope for your dreams? Now, you can make a difference in your life when you know that you had enough living in misery and you want to change and change is possible when you are hungry. Today, decide to live your life by design and not by default.
