Man Sitting on the Mountain Edge

We are often tired not because we’ve done too much, but because we’ve done too little of what sparks the light in us

Alexander Den Heijer

How many of you feel tired everyday?

I used to feel tired everyday. Back when I was in my old job, the moment I woke up from my bed, I could already feel the tiredness in my eyes and my body. It is like a drag, one day seems like a thousand years for me back then. However, the job I had was simple, it is to just sit down in a store for 9 hours before going back home.

Soon I discover that it is not how much you do, but how much it meant to do it. Alexander Den Heijer said “It’s not that we’ve done too much that make us tired but because we’ve done too little of what sparks the light in us.”

For that reason, we should do more things that light the spark in us. Do more of what we are passionate about and more of what keeping the fire burning in us.

This way, we will wake up in the morning with excitement and enthusiasm, we can’t wait for the next day to come and sometimes, we wish we had more hours in a day. All because we are doing something that spark the light in us.
