Whatever you are, be a good one

Abraham Lincoln

It’s easy for us sometimes to get angry, upset and frustrated at people around us who have cheated on us, who have done us wrong, who uses us for their advantage, who have step down on us, etc…. Most of us sometimes will have the feeling of resentment and revenge against them.

Here’s the thing, people may have done us wrong but it doesn’t mean we got the licence to do wrong back at them. Instead, continue to be good and kind anyway. Never lose yourself to hatred, you are better than that. Love always succeed over hatred. No matter what people may do to you, just keep running your race and never hit back.

It will be tough but let’s remind ourselves to be good anyway. For closing, here’s a poem that all of us can learned from Mother Teresa, called ‘Do It Anyway’.

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
