He suddenly stumble upon a fly sticking on walls and he thought it would be cool to have a superhero who sticks on walls. Next thing, he wanted to give this hero a name.. some of his suggestions were Fly-man, Mosquito-man..Err.. At lastly, he ended up with Spider-man… Next thing, he wanted this hero to be relatable and so he gave this hero personal problems in his story.

Stan Lee thought that this new superhero concept was a great idea and so he start to proposed it to his team. And you can guess what happen next… His team hated the idea.. thinking nobody would like to see a hero with insect powers, a hero with personal problems, etc….

Stan Lee was devastated however, he still wanted to write this hero story and so he did.. He introduced Spider-man to the world on one of his struggling selling comic book called ‘Amazing Fantasy’. And suddenly, this comic book sales start to pick up by leaps and bounce.
