It’s not our disabilities, it’s our abilities that count.Chris Burke
Kodi Lee, a man who is blind and autistic, a man who has great disabilities, became the man who won America’s Got Talent, the man who possess a big voice and heart with amazing talents and the man who has won the hearts of the world.
He is such a great inspiration to us all. What is our excuse for not working towards our dream?
In his disability, he found his ability. He has turned his disability into an opportunity. What we can learned is to have the ability of perseverance and persistence, to never give up on your dream. People may looked down on our disability, but we should look out for the abilities that we have inside of us.
Kodi Lee may lack in a lot of areas but sometimes all he needs is one thing, and that one thing has brought him into his dreams. Remember always, that your gifts will open doors of opportunities for you. Therefore, all of us may too lack in some areas of our life but all we need is sometimes just one thing that counts and everything will fall into place.
In closing, if we ever feel that we are not good enough, we don’t have what it takes and we don’t have the capabilities. Know that disability is not inability. Sometimes, our greatest disabilities is not the lack of skills or knowledge but our attitude. Hence, we should change the way we think, proceed towards our dreams and never give up. You got this!
