Be willing to LOSE a battle in order to WIN the WAR

H. Jackman Brown Jr.

We sometimes want to win in everything we do…

For instances, we will fight over food, we will fight over who will throw the rubbish today, we will debate who is better over something etc… well, you get my point… that even a small matter can eventually become a huge issue just because we want to keep our pride and ego.

In the end of the day, though we might have won the battle but we lost the war. We may lost our relationship with our parents or friends, we may lost the respect that other’s gave to us, we may lost our likability and we may lost our own joy and happiness in the process.

Therefore, instead of trying to win every battle, try winning the ultimate war instead. To know how to win the war is to ask yourself in this battle worth it? would it affect our friendship? would it affect my own happiness?

For example, so if your little sister really want to go to that restaurant to eat, there is no need to fight over it, just eat together with her. You might have lost the battle in choosing the restaurant, but you won the war in keeping both of your happiness and peace.

In closing, always remember to choose to battle wisely, win the war, maintain your happiness and joy!!!
