Triumph In Times Of Trials

Things may happen AROUND you, and things may happen TO you, but the only things that matter are the things that happen IN you

Eric Butterworth

In our life, there will be a season of testing, a season of trying and a season of trials. For instance, your parents disown you, your boss force you to resign, your college expel you, etc…

There are a lot of things and reasons why we should be upset, worried and angry. Those seasons of trials and hardship are all strong enough reasons why we should complain and feel bad about ourselves.

However, this is not the way we should live our life. The trials we are experiencing in our life will always happen here and there, that’s why they say that life is sometimes like roller coaster ride.

The key here is not to allow those things to affect our happiness within. Never allow those tribulation affect our celebration in life. You see, it is easy to be happy when everything is going well. However, it is another story to be happy when we are facing a challenging times. Eleanor Roosevelt said, “No one can hurt you without your consent.”

Here’s the thing, during challenging times, we should still remain hopeful that better days are ahead of us, and not let those challenging times destroy our hope in life. By remaining hopeful in times of difficulty, we are actually building up our strength and character, that we are able to overcome any obstacles ahead of us.

Hence, let us choose to be positive in times of negativity, choose to be strong in times of weakness and to triumph in times of trials because we know that one day, there are better things to come.
